By accessing or using College Creatures ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our") at collegecreatures.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
If you are under 18 years old, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
College Creatures provides school match results based on personality quiz responses. These results are generated algorithmically and reflect our own independent assessment — they are not endorsed by, affiliated with, or reviewed by any college, university, or educational institution.
Match results, school profiles, and associated data are provided for general informational and exploratory purposes only. You should not rely on College Creatures as your sole source of college research. Always verify information directly with institutions and consult a qualified college counselor for official guidance.
The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, you may only use the Service with verifiable parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly permit users under 13 to create accounts or make purchases without parental consent. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data from younger users.
By using the Service, you represent that you meet the eligibility requirements above.
The quiz and basic creature reveal are free to use with no account required. Free quiz results are stored in your browser only (localStorage/sessionStorage) and are not saved to our servers.
We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue any free feature at any time without notice.
A Premium purchase gives you access to full school match profiles, detailed match context, and other Premium features described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
Premium is purchased as a one-time payment processed by Stripe. By completing a Premium purchase, you authorize the charge to your payment method. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.
We offer refunds within 30 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied with your Premium results. After 30 days, all sales are final. To request a refund within the 30-day window, email support@collegecreatures.com with your purchase email and order details.
Premium access is tied to your browser session and/or your account (if you created one). We do not guarantee permanent access to Premium features — the Service may change or be discontinued. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes to Premium access.
Your Premium access is for your personal use only. You may not share, resell, transfer, or otherwise provide access to Premium features to any other person.
Account creation is optional. If you create an account (powered by Supabase authentication), you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@collegecreatures.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

All content on College Creatures — including the quiz, creature names and descriptions, school profiles, matching methodology, design, and code — is owned by or licensed to College Creatures and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any College Creatures content without our express written permission.
Individual school names, logos, and factual information about institutions are the property of their respective owners. College Creatures makes no claim of ownership over institutional trademarks or marks.
We make reasonable efforts to keep school profile data (admission rates, graduation rates, location, size, etc.) accurate and up to date. However, college data changes frequently. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any school data on the Service.
Always verify important admissions-related information directly with the institution before making any decisions.
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Stripe (payments), Supabase (optional authentication), and Netlify (hosting). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of these third parties.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that match results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COLLEGE CREATURES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless College Creatures and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes to Premium access or significant service disruptions.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms immediately terminate.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent harm pending arbitration.
